Aquarium

Picture
Welcome you to my classroom.  My name is Allison.  I have an Early Childhood and Elementary degree from Penn State University.  My passion and joy in life definitely comes from teaching young children.  I love teaching Pre-K and can’t wait to start a new school year!

My goal for your child this year is to provide them with valuable learning experiences through developmentally appropriate activities including art, music, story time, social experiences, and child-directed activities.  They will be engaged in fun, child-centered activities to promote individual growth and development.

Our classroom name is “The Aquarium.”  You will see our classroom change form as we explore various themes throughout the year.  Please feel free to come in and take a look around the room.  I am sure that your child will love to show you their stories, art projects and other activities that they've made.

On the first day of school, your child will receive a folder that will be used for communication between home and school.  It will be placed in your child’s “mail slot” that is the top portion of their cubby.  Please take it home and return it daily to their “mail slot”.  This folder is for any papers that need to go home or be signed by you.  If you have any notes for me please place them inside and I will check each morning.

You will be required to send in two boxes of tissues and two boxes of wipes on the first day of school.  These come in handy when we get messy during outside or indoor play and when the weather starts to bring on the sniffles.  Lastly, please be sure to keep season appropriate spare clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) in your child’s cubby at all times just in case they have an accident, spill something at lunch, etc.  Thank you.

If you have any questions throughout the year please feel free to contact me at extension 276.  I am looking forward to a spectacular year!
